FAQ
Do you sell paper patterns?
Not at this time.
Can I use your patterns to make garments to sell?
No. I do not have this business model set up and I can't control the quality of the garments sold using my patterns. If you'd like to make one of my patterns as a swap or on a low-scale commission- base (10 or less per year), please purchase a pattern per garment you make for someone else. Please also make it clear that your production is not affiliated with the designer.
What are your qualifications?
No formal qualifications, all skills are self-taught through online resources such as Pattern Workshop.
Where is my pattern?
You will receive a link and an email to download your PDF pattern upon purchase. You can print at home or send it to a printer for A0 printing.
Are seam allowances included in the pattern?
Yes!
What height are your patterns drafted for?
Most patterns are drafted for a 5'3" (160 cm) tall person, instructions to add length as well as extra fabric needed are included in the pattern instructions.
Why are my files at home files printing incorrect?
Please make sure to use adobe acrobat (free software) to view and print SWS patterns. Print at 100% or "actual size". Use scale squares to double check and each page should print 7" x 10" leaving a boarder on all sides for cutting and taping together.
Where are my files/why aren't they downloading?
When you purchase a PDF pattern a zip file is emailed to you. This is automatic, if you do not see an email double check your spam and make sure you entered your email address correctly. To see all the pattern files you need to open the zip file. All files are sent together, so if you see one file, you have the others and may not be looking in the right place. If you are having trouble downloading files it is likely related to your browser, memory on your device, wifi, or other system issues. Try downloading at a later time, or on a different device.
